Saftech was awarded a contract by Projass Engineering Sdn. Bhd. for the complete installation, testing and commissioning of fiber optic cables from TNB Distribution in Jeli to TNB Distribution Jelawang Sub Station and from Jelawang Sub Station to TNB Distribution in Dabong, Kelantan. The contract was awarded in early June 2002 and was completed around September 2002.

The project involved the following scope of works:-

bullet

Installation of about 65 kilometer of aerial fiber optic cables.

bullet

Installation of concrete poles and GI pipes for river crossing.

bullet

Installation of ADSS fiber optic cables up to a span of 500 meters across Sg. Galas.

bullet

Fiber optic splicing and  termination works.

bullet

Fiber optic testing and commissioning works using OTDR and Power meter.

bullet

Installation of fiber optic closures and patch panels.

bullet

Supply of fiber optic accessories such as suspension / dead end clamp, concrete poles GI pipes, support and steel structure.

bullet

Documentation and As-built drawings.
